The certified detailers of Xtreme Xcellence recently attended another incredible industry event, the 2012 Mobile Tech Expo (MTE) in Kissimmee, Florida. While our car detailing team enjoys every opportunity to enrich its knowledge of the profession, this conference definitely stands out among the crowd of industry events we’ve attended in recent years. What made it so special? The sheer volume of classes, to start.
Xtreme Xcellence is proud to be a part of the Grace For Vets car wash program. Grace For Vets has been providing free car washes for veterans and service personnel on Veterans Day since 2004. Across the nation, hundreds of car wash organizations participate in this program to honor and show support for the men and women who risk their lives to protect our freedom.
Rigo Santana and the management team at Xtreme Xcellence attended the New Detailing Technology Seminar, an event at the 2010 Car Care World Expo held in Las Vegas. Sponsored by the International Detailing Association (IDA), the guest speaker at this event was Renny Doyle, personal detailer of Air Force One. The seminar focused on the current state of detailing technology, including a brief discussion of the most popular tools in use today and an extensive discussion on emerging technologies in the mobile auto detailing industry. Xtreme Xcellence staff members were privileged to meet with Mr. Doyle and broaden their understanding of the latest and most innovative mobile detailing strategies, particularly in the fields of exotic auto detailing and sports car detailing.
In October 2010, Xtreme Xcellence attended the 29th Annual Western Carwash Association (WCA) Convention and Tradeshow in Las Vegas, an event that showcased on environmental awareness in the auto detailing and car wash industry. One emphasis of the 2010 WCA was educating the car wash industry about water conservation. This is because the shortage of clean water is likely the biggest environmental issue we will face in the 21st century, and water conservation in industries like this can help minimize the risks.
The SEMA show (Specialty Market Equipment Association) is the only premiere event that showcases specialty products for elite vehicles. More than 100,000 auto industry enthusiasts and professionals attend this mega premiere automotive show every year. Recently, Xtreme Xcellence was asked to detail and repair a Lexus 600 hybrid vehicle with an estimated retail price of over $150,000.00 as a featured demonstration for the SEMA show.
